In a statement issued from Aso Villa on Sunday, the President thanked citizens for their prayers, support, and solidarity, noting that he was deeply encouraged by the outpouring of goodwill from across the country.
Tinubu also acknowledged messages sent through various platforms, including newspaper publications and broadcast media, describing the gestures as a reflection of national unity and support for his administration.
The President extended special appreciation to his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, for her “kind and loving words,” as well as Vice President Kashim Shettima for his remarks in honour of the occasion.
Reflecting on the state of the nation, Tinubu said he chose to observe the birthday quietly, in line with prevailing national circumstances. He acknowledged the challenges faced since the commencement of his administration’s reforms but expressed optimism that the sacrifices made by Nigerians were beginning to yield positive results.
“We can see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel,” he said, while also noting the impact of the ongoing Middle East crisis on global and domestic conditions.
The President emphasized that the achievements recorded so far were a collective effort, attributing progress not only to his government but also to the resilience and cooperation of Nigerians.
“As we approach the third anniversary of our administration, I remain confident that we will succeed in building a brighter future for our citizens and generations to come,” he added.
